Avernakø – Poster

Two islands that wanted to be one
Just south of Faaborg lies one lovely island that began as two, separated by a long sandbar that islanders could only walk at low tide.
Today, both islands are linked by Drejet, a curving causeway built by the islanders together so they could enjoy coffee together more often.
Avernakø is also one of the few islands in all Denmark that ritually greets summer with the Maytree. The high-hung barley wreath can be seen from many places across the landscape.
“Avernakø” is part of the Faaborg Islands Collection.
All posters are designed in Faaborg and printed in Denmark on eco-friendly, 170g matte paper.
Each card is backed with a short history of the graphic motif.
